There is a risk of accident. Before leaving the vehicle, secure it against rolling away.

To make sure the vehicle is secured against rolling away, observe the following:

• Apply the parking brake.
• ▷ On inclines or declines, turn the front wheels toward the curb.
• ▷ On inclines or declines, additionally secure the vehicle, e.g. with a wheel chock.

NOTICE Shifting into a gear that is too low can cause excessive engine speeds and damage the engine. There is a risk of property damage.

When shifting into 5th

or 6th gear, push the shift lever to the right.

General

For smooth and dynamic gear changes, the engine speed is adjusted automatically during a shift.

Reverse Gear

Engage only when the vehicle is stationary.

To overcome the resistance, move the shift lever to the left in one dynamic motion, then engage reverse with a shifting motion forward.
