Tire Pressure Control RDC
Tire Pressure Control (RDC) in the BMW 5 Series (Gen VII) automatically monitors the inflation pressure in all four tires. If the pressure deviates, the driver is warned early, which is an essential contribution to vehicle safety. The data comes directly from sensors in the tire valves. Regular checks via the iDrive display support optimal tire pressure. The system distinguishes between target pressure and actual pressure. Both values are decisive for driving behavior.
Principle
The system monitors the tire inflation pressure in the four mounted tires. The system warns if the tire inflation pressure has dropped in one or more tires.
The topic of wheel bolts on the BMW 5 Series G30/G31 shows that even the smallest details play a major role in driving safety. Only genuine BMW wheel bolts ensure the optimal fit and correct seating of the wheels, which is a basis for safe driving in all conditions.
It is particularly important to observe the tightening torque exactly and have it checked regularly. Not using additional lubricants or corrosion protection on the bolts is also clearly recommended in order not to compromise mechanical stability.
This makes clear that the BMW 5 Series G30/G31 combines precision and attention to detail to offer the highest level of safety on the road.
