Touring: luggage compartment door

Opening from outside

Press the button on the trunk lid or press and hold the button for approximately 1 secondon the remote control – the tailgate will open slightly and can be raised upward.

When the luggage compartment door is opened, the luggage compartment cover rises.

Before closing the luggage compartment door, press the cover down until it locks.◄

Manual Opening

(in case of electrical malfunction) 1. Using a screwdriver or key, pry out cover 1 on the luggage compartment door from the luggage compartment side.

2. Press latch 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Open the tailgate and reinstall the cover.

As soon as you close the luggage compartment door, it locks again.

Closing

To prevent injury when closing the trunk lid, make sure there are no obstacles in its path.◄

There are handles on the inside of the tailgate that make it easier to pull closed.

To close the luggage compartment door, press it lightly, and it closes by itself.
