The user can control the radio using one of the following 2 sets of controls:

  • controls integrated into the radio front panel,
  • controls integrated into the steering wheel switch module.

Controls integrated into the radio front panel

  • User control input is handled by the radio, which sends a request for a state change to the multifunction display via the VAN CONFORT network.
  • Depending on the case, the multifunction display controls the change of state of the radio via the VAN CONFORT network.

Controls integrated into the steering wheel switch module

  • The steering wheel switch module captures the user's control inputs.
  • The steering wheel switch module transmits the user's control inputs to the BSI via the VAN CAR1 network.
  • The steering wheel switch module transmits the user's control inputs to the BSI via the VAN CAR1 network.
  • The steering wheel switch module transmits the user's control inputs to the BSI via the VAN CAR1 network.
