Power supply management
The radio's power supply is managed by the multifunction display as shown in the table below:
POWER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT |
|
| +VAN present | The radio sends power-on and power-off requests to the multifunction display. The multifunction display switches the radio on or off, depending on the case. |
| +VAN absent | The radio can wake up the VAN Confort network to request that it be switched on. The radio switches off 60 minutes after the engine is switched off (economy mode). |
Switching the radio on
The radio is switched on by one of the following actions:
- a single press on the "ON/VOL" button on the radio front panel,
- switching the ignition off or on,
- inserting a CD when +ACC is present (RD2 radio only).
Note: If the radio is operating before the ignition is switched off, it is switched back on when +ACC is restored.
Switching the radio off
With the radio on, it is switched off by one of the following actions:
- a single press on the "ON/VOL" button on the radio front panel,
- switching the ignition off.
Note: If the radio can no longer communicate with the multifunction display via the VAN CONFORT network, it switches off automatically.
Power restored with ignition off
When the radio is off and the ignition is switched off, it can be switched on by a single press on the "ON/VOL" button on the radio front panel.
A radio powered with the ignition off switches off by one of the following actions:
- manual switch-off: press the on/off button,
- automatic switch-off: 60 minutes after the engine is switched off. Once the time delay has elapsed, the engine must be restarted before the radio can be powered again.
