All the recommendations listed below are intended to allow the airbag to inflate fully and to prevent serious injuries when the airbag deploys.

The airbag is designed to supplement the action of the seat belts. Both are integral parts of the same restraint system. It is therefore essential that seat belts are always fastened. Not wearing a seat belt may expose occupants to serious injury in an accident and also increase the risk of skin injuries caused by the airbag itself deploying. Seat belt pretensioners or airbags are not always triggered when the vehicle rolls over or is hit from behind, even at high force. Impacts to the underbody of the vehicle, caused by hitting a kerb, potholes, stones, etc., may trigger these systems.
  • Any repairs or modifications to the entire driver or passenger Airbag system (airbag, electronic control unit, wiring, etc.) are strictly prohibited, except when carried out by an Authorised Dacia Dealer.
  • To ensure the system works correctly and to avoid unintended deployment, only an Authorised Dacia Dealer is authorised to carry out repairs on the Airbag system.
  • For safety reasons, the Airbag system must be checked if the vehicle has been involved in a collision, has been stolen or has been the target of a theft attempt.
  • If the vehicle is lent or sold, inform the new user that the vehicle is equipped with an Airbag system, and hand over this owner's manual.
  • If the vehicle needs to be scrapped, contact an Authorised Dacia Dealer to have the gas generator(s) decommissioned.

Malfunctions

Nieprawidłowości w działaniu

Warning lamp 1 lights up on the instrument panel when the ignition is switched on, then goes out after a few seconds.

If it does not light up when the ignition is switched on, or if it lights up while the engine is running, this indicates a malfunction in the system (airbags, pretensioners, etc.) on the front and/or rear seats.

Contact an Authorised Dacia Dealer as soon as possible.

Delaying the inspection may reduce the effectiveness of the protection.
