Seat Belts
In this manual: Getting to know your vehicle
~1min read
For maximum safety, it is recommended to use seat belts regardless of the length of the journey. In addition, different countries have different legal regulations governing seat belt use, which every vehicle user must be familiar with.
To ensure the rear seat belts work correctly, check that the rear seat is properly locked. See the "Rear seat: functions" section in chapter 3. Incorrectly positioned or twisted seat belts may cause serious injury in an accident. Only one seat belt must be used for one adult or child. Even pregnant women should wear seat belts. In this case, make sure the lap belt does not press excessively on the lower abdomen and is not too loose.Before starting the vehicle, first adjust the driver's seat position. Then all passengers should adjust their seat belts for the best possible protection.
Driver's seat adjustment (depending on vehicle version)
- Sit well back in the seat (after removing your coat, jacket, etc.). This is important for correct spinal posture;
- adjust the distance from the seat to the pedals.
The seat should be far enough back to allow the clutch pedal to be fully depressed. Set the backrest so that your arms remain slightly bent;
- adjust the head restraint position. For maximum safety, the distance between your head and the head restraint should be as small as possible;
- adjust the seat height. This adjustment provides the best field of vision while driving;
- set the steering wheel to the correct position.
