Remove or disconnect

Removing the shaft with the spring retainer

PROCEDURE.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove control panel trim A.

3. Remove the three screws C.

4. Disconnect center console trim D.

5. Remove shift knob 201.

6. Lift and remove center console trim D from the lever.

7. Move lever 203 to the neutral position.

8. Turn spring retainer 204 in the direction of the arrow. See figure. Removing the shaft with the spring retainer.

8a. Pull out and remove the shaft with retainer 204 from lever 203.

8b. Remove the shift lever.

PROCEDURE.

1. Install lever 203 into joint cross 205, insert the shaft with retainer

204. Turn

the retainer back to its original position.

2. Place the center console trim over the lever and lower it into position.

3. Install 2 screws C..

4. Control panel trim A..

5. Negative battery cable.
