Remove or disconnect

Removing the shaft with the spring retainer

PROCEDURE.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Loosen clamp bolt 210 and disconnect joint 213 from the shaft.

2a. Remove the boot.

4. Move lever 203 to the neutral position..

5. Lever 203 and boot

5a. Turn the retainer of pin 204 in the direction of the arrow and remove the pin from the hole in the levers..

6. Console completely..

7. Remove bolts 208 securing the housing..

9. Remove guide bushing 244 and mounting bushing 245 from the housing hole

10. Remove bushing 244 from the bushing

PROCEDURE.

1. Insert bushing 244 into the bushing

2. Press bushing 245 into housing hole 209 from the inside..

3. Apply silicone grease part number 1052863 or equivalent to the inner grooves of bushing 244.

or equivalent.

4. Insert shaft 241 into housing 209 and into the bushing hole

5. Install housing 209 with shaft 241 in place and install bolts

6. Console..

7. Install lever 203 into cross member 205, insert the pin with retainer

204. Turn

the retainer back to its original position.

8. Boot

9. Insert joint 213 onto the shaft

10. Adjust the drive and shift lever position. Then tighten clamp bolt 210..

11. Center console..
