The ignition key must be in the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position. To turn on the audio system, press the FM or AM button.

Adjust the volume by turning the VOL/SELECT knob.

When the audio system is turned on, the display shows the selected band indicator and the frequency of the radio station to which the radio was tuned before the power was turned off. To select a different frequency band, press the AM or FM band selection button. When the radio is operating in the FM band, the ST indicator appears on the display if the tuned station is broadcasting in stereo. Stereo reception is not available in the AM band.

When the AM band is selected, noise reduction is switched on automatically.
