Battery charging system warning light

This indicator should come on when the ignition switch is turned to the ON (II) position and go off after the engine starts. If the charging system warning indicator remains on with the engine running, this indicates that the battery is not being charged.

In this case, a symbol is displayed on the multi-information displayThis may be accompanied by the message "CHECK SYSTEM."

Turn off all auxiliary electrical loads immediately. Do not operate the power windows or other motors and devices that consume electrical power. Try to keep the engine running so that it does not stall, since restarting the engine with the starter will quickly discharge the battery.

Take the vehicle to a service station, where the malfunction will be corrected.
