Temporary Spare Tire
The compact spare tire is intended for use only as a temporary replacement for one of the vehicle's damaged tires. At the first opportunity, repair or replace the damaged tire and reinstall it in place of the compact spare tire.
Check the air pressure of the spare tire at the same time as checking the pressure of all other tires. The air pressure in the compact spare tire must be:
420 kPa (4.2 kgf/cm2)
Observe the following precautions:
• Under no circumstances exceed a speed of 80 km/h.
• The compact spare tire reduces ride comfort and handling, and has lower traction on some road surfaces compared to a tire of normal size. Therefore, exercise extra caution and attention while driving.
• Do not install snow chains on the compact spare tire.
• Do not install the compact spare tire on vehicles of another make or model.
• Do not install more than one compact spare tire on the vehicle at the same time.
• If the engine is started with a compact spare tire installed, do not initialize the tire pressure monitoring system, since the compact spare tire is smaller than a standard tire. After replacing the compact spare tire with a standard full-size tire, perform the tire pressure monitoring system initialization procedure.
• The compact spare tire is smaller than the standard tire for your vehicle. With the compact spare tire installed, ground clearance is reduced. Driving on rough or uneven roads may damage components located on the underside of the vehicle.

Replace the tire if transverse bands (wear indicators) appear in the tread. The new tire must be of exactly the same construction and size as the old tire and must be installed on the same compact spare wheel.
A compact spare tire is not designed to be mounted on a standard-size wheel, and conversely, a standard-size tire must not be mounted on a compact spare wheel.
