PROCEDURE

1. Check the friction facings for secure riveting to the clutch disc. If defects are found, replace the clutch disc.

2. Check the protrusion of the friction facings above the rivet heads. If the protrusion is less than specified, replace the clutch disc.
Protrusion: 1.1 mm
3. Check the condition of the clutch disc friction facings. If there are signs of oil or mechanical damage, replace the clutch disc.
4. Clean the splines of the transmission input shaft and install the clutch disc on the shaft. If the clutch disc moves on the shaft with difficulty or the spline clearance is excessive, replace the clutch disc and/or the input shaft.
