Checking the engine oil level

Inspect the transmission for oil leaks. Remove the filler plug and check the transmission oil level. If the oil is contaminated, replace it.

The vehicle must be on a level surface when checking the oil level.

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the oil filler plug.
2. Check the oil level, which should be near the lower edge of the oil filler plug threaded hole. If the oil level is low, add the required amount of oil.
3. If the oil is contaminated or its viscosity differs from the specified value, replace it.
