PROCEDURE
1. Aluminum alloy is damaged by alkali. If the vehicle has been exposed to sea salt or road chemicals, immediately wash the vehicle with clean water, then apply wax polish to the wheels to protect them from corrosion.
2. When washing the vehicle with steam, do not direct the steam at the wheel discs.
3. When tightening the wheel nuts on aluminum wheels, observe the following:
a. clean the hub surface;
b. tighten the wheel nuts to the specified torque;
c. do not tighten the wheel nuts by pressing on the wrench with your foot;
d. do not lubricate the wheel nut threads.
