General Checks - Engine Compartment

The following items should be checked regularly:

• Engine oil level and condition

• Transmission fluid level and condition

• Brake fluid level

• Clutch fluid level

• Engine coolant level

• Windshield washer fluid level

• Condition of drive belts

• Condition of coolant hoses

• Fluid leaks (from the components listed above and below)

• Power steering fluid level and condition

• Tire pressure and condition (including spare tire)

• Battery condition

Vehicle Exterior. The following items should be checked monthly:

• General appearance and condition

• Wheel condition and tightness of wheel nuts

• Condition of air cleaner filter

• Condition of exhaust system

• Condition and operation of lights

• Condition of windshield

• Condition of wiper blades

• Paint condition and corrosion

• Fluid leaks

• Condition of door and hood latches
