Proper maintenance at regular intervals will preserve the performance and appearance of your vehicle over the long term.

Some maintenance operations may be performed by the vehicle owner ("Owner Information"), while others must be performed only by an authorized dealer ("Periodic Maintenance"). This section describes only those operations that the owner may perform. If a malfunction or other problem is found, it must be corrected by an authorized Hyundai dealer. This section contains information on inspection and maintenance procedures that you may perform yourself, if you wish. Follow the instructions and warnings for each of these procedures.

When inspecting or performing maintenance inside the engine compartment, make sure the engine is off and has cooled down. If it is necessary to perform any operation in the engine compartment with the engine running, be especially careful that your clothing, hair, etc.

do not contact the fan, drive belts, or other moving parts.
