Cornering Smoothly
Avoid braking or changing gears while cornering, especially on wet roads. Corners should ideally be taken with light acceleration.

Because night driving presents more hazards than day driving, keep these important tips in mind:
- Slow down and increase the distance from other vehicles, as it is harder to see at night, especially in areas without lighting.
- Adjust the mirrors to reduce glare from other drivers' headlights.
- Keep your headlights clean and properly aimed. Dirty or improperly aimed headlights make night vision much more difficult.
- Avoid looking directly at the headlights of oncoming vehicles. You may be temporarily blinded, and it may take several seconds for your eyes to adjust to the darkness.
