Combination rear light bulb replacement

(1) Stop and tail light

(2) Rear turn signal

(3) Reverse lights

1. Open the tailgate.

2. Loosen the light unit mounting screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

3. Remove the combination rear light assembly from the vehicle body.

4. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning it counterclockwise until the tabs align with the slots in the assembly.

5. Remove the bulb from the socket by pressing it and turning it counterclockwise until the tabs align with the slots in the socket.

Pull the bulb out of the socket.

6. Insert a new bulb into the socket and turn it until it locks in place.

7. Install the socket in the assembly, aligning its tabs with the slots in the assembly. Push the socket into the assembly and turn it clockwise.

8. Reinstall the light assembly to the vehicle body.

Rear fog lights (if equipped)

1. Remove the rear tire and wheel cover.

2. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning it counterclockwise until the tabs align with the slots in the assembly.

3. Remove the bulb from the socket by pressing it and turning it counterclockwise until the tabs align with the slots in the socket.

Pull the bulb out of the socket.

4. Insert a new bulb into the bulb holder.

5. Reinstall the light assembly to the vehicle body.

Third brake light replacement

If the bulb does not work, it is recommended that the system be checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
