All-season tires, winter tires, radial tires
All-Season Tires
HYUNDAI equips some models with all-season tires to provide good performance for year-round use, including snowy road conditions. All-season tires are marked ALL SEASON and/or M+S (Mud and Snow) on the tire sidewall. Winter tires have better snow traction than all-season tires and may be more appropriate in some areas.
Tires with longer tread life may be more prone to uneven tread wear. It is very important to follow the tire rotation interval in this chapter to achieve maximum tread life from these tires. Cuts and punctures in radial tires can be repaired only in the tread area because of sidewall flexing. Consult your tire dealer for repair of radial tires.
WARNING
Never mix bias-ply and radial-ply tires on the same vehicle under any circumstances. This may cause unusual handling characteristics that can lead to loss of vehicle control and result in an accident.
CAUTION
- When driving on rough roads or off-road, drive carefully as tires and wheels may be damaged. After driving, inspect the tires and wheels.
- When driving over a pothole, speed bump, manhole, or curb, drive slowly so that the tires and wheels are not damaged.
- If the tire is subjected to a severe impact, have the tire and wheel inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Tire damage is not easy to see. However, if there is any sign of tire damage, have the tire inspected or replaced, because tire damage may cause air leakage from the tire.
- If the tire is damaged while driving on rough roads, off-road, over a pothole, manhole or curb, the damage is not covered by the warranty.
