Tire Rotation
To even out tread wear, HYUNDAI recommends rotating the tires according to the maintenance schedule, or sooner if uneven wear develops.
When rotating, check the tires for proper balance.
When rotating tires, check for irregular wear, damage and uneven wear. Abnormal wear is usually caused by incorrect tire pressure, incorrect wheel alignment, unbalanced wheels, hard braking or sharp cornering. Look for bulges or bumps on the tread or sidewall. Replace the tire if you find any of these conditions. Replace the tire if the cord or fabric is visible. After rotation, be sure to check the front and rear tire pressures against specification and check the wheel nut tightening torque (correct torque 79~94 lbf·ft [11~13 kgf·m]).

Disc brake pads must be checked for wear whenever the tires are rotated.
Information
Asymmetric or directional tires can only be installed on a wheel in one direction. The outside and inside of an asymmetric tire are not easily distinguished. Carefully note the markings on the tire sidewalls, the "OUTSIDE" marking, and the direction of rotation before mounting them on the vehicle.
WARNING
- Do not use the compact spare tire for tire rotation.
- Never mix bias-ply and radial tires on the vehicle under any circumstances. This may cause unusual handling characteristics that can result in loss of vehicle control and an accident.
