Emergency Precautions
Tires
Do not use a tire and wheel assembly of a different size or type than the one originally installed on your vehicle. This may affect the safety and performance of your vehicle, which may result in loss of steering control or rollover, causing serious injury.
When replacing tires, always equip all four wheels with tires and wheels of the same size, type, tread, brand, and load capacity. If you equip your vehicle with any tire/wheel combination not recommended by HYUNDAI for off-road driving, do not use these tires for highway driving.
WARNING
Never start or run the engine while the all-wheel drive vehicle is raised on a jack. The vehicle may slip or fall off the jack, causing serious injury or death to you or bystanders.
Tow/Haul
All-wheel drive vehicles should be towed using a wheel lift and dolly or flatbed equipment with all wheels off the ground. For more details, refer to "Towing" in Chapter 6.
Dynamometer Testing
An all-wheel drive vehicle must be inspected on a special four-wheel chassis dynamometer.

An all-wheel drive vehicle must not be inspected on a 2WD roll tester. If it is necessary to use a 2WD roller tester, perform the following procedure:
1. Check the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.
2. Place the front wheels on the roller of the speedometer tester as shown in the illustration.
3. Release the parking brake.
4. Place the rear wheels on the temporary free roller as shown in the illustration.
CAUTION
- Never apply the parking brake while performing the test.
- When the vehicle is raised, do not work on the front and rear wheels separately. All four wheels must be operated.
WARNING
Stay clear of the front of the vehicle while it is in gear on the dynamometer. The vehicle may jump forward and cause serious injury or death.
