Driving Your Vehicle
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) System
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~1min read
The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system is designed to help detect and monitor a vehicle ahead or help detect a pedestrian in the roadway through radar signals and camera recognition, to warn the driver that a collision is imminent and, if necessary, to apply emergency braking.
WARNING
Observe the following precautions when using the Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system:
- This system is only a supplemental system and is not intended to replace the need for special care and attention by the driver. Detection range and objects detected by the sensors are limited. Always pay attention to road conditions.
- Drive within the posted speed limits and according to road conditions.
- Always drive carefully to prevent unexpected and sudden situations from occurring. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system cannot always completely stop the vehicle and is only designed to help reduce the severity of an unavoidable collision.
