To view the SCC screen on the LCD display in the cluster, select Assist mode (Hyundai Palisade. Go System). For more details, refer to "LCD Modes" in chapter 3.

The Smart Cruise Control system allows you to program the vehicle to help maintain a set speed and a minimum distance from the vehicle ahead.

The Smart Cruise Control system automatically adjusts your vehicle speed to maintain the programmed speed and following distance without requiring you to press the accelerator pedal or brake pedal.

WARNING

For your safety, read the owner's manual before using the Smart Cruise Control system.

WARNING

The Smart Cruise Control system does not replace safe driving practices; it is a convenience feature only. It is the driver's responsibility to always check the speed and distance to the vehicle ahead.

WARNING

Observe the following precautions:

  • Always set the vehicle speed below the speed limit.
  • If Smart Cruise Control is left on (the cruise indicator in the instrument cluster is illuminated), Smart Cruise Control may be activated unintentionally. To avoid accidentally setting the speed, turn the Cruise Control system off (cruise indicator off) when Smart Cruise Control is not in use.
  • Use the Smart Cruise Control system only when driving on open roads in good weather.
  • Do not use Smart Cruise Control when it may not be safe to keep the vehicle at a constant speed.
  • Do not use when:
    - Driving in heavy traffic or when traffic conditions make it difficult to drive at a constant speed
    - Driving on rainy, icy, or snowy roads
    - Driving down or up steep grades
    - Driving in windy areas
    - Driving in parking lots
    - Passing near emergency barriers
    - Driving through sharp curves
    - Driving with limited visibility (for example, due to bad weather such as fog, snow, rain, or sandstorms)
    - The vehicle's sensing ability is reduced due to vehicle modifications, resulting in a change in the vehicle's front and rear height
  • Unexpected situations may lead to possible accidents. Always pay attention to road conditions and driving, even when the Smart Cruise Control system is operating.
