Blind-Spot Collision Warning / Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
Description of the System
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor and warn the driver when an approaching vehicle is detected in the driver's blind-spot zone.
1) Blind spot

The blind-spot detection range varies according to the vehicle speed.
Note that if your vehicle is traveling much faster than the vehicles around you, the warning will not appear.
2) High-speed closing

The Lane Change Assist function will warn you when it detects a vehicle approaching in the adjacent lane at a high rate of speed. If the driver activates the turn signal when the system detects an approaching vehicle, the system sounds an audible warning.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

The Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) system helps detect the forward lane through a camera installed on the upper part of the windshield, and helps detect side/rear areas using radar sensors.
The Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist system may activate Electronic Stability Control (ESC) if a possible collision with an approaching vehicle is detected during a lane change. This helps reduce the risk of collision or collision damage.
WARNING
- Always stay aware of road conditions while driving and be alert for unexpected situations, even when the Blind-Spot Collision Warning and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist systems are operating.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) systems are supplemental systems to help you. Do not rely solely on the systems. Always pay attention while driving for your safety.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) systems are not a substitute for proper and safe driving. Always drive safely and use caution when changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) systems may not detect every object around the vehicle.
