To apply the EPB:

1. Depress the brake pedal.

2. Pull the EPB switch up.

Make sure the parking brake indicator light is on.

In addition, the EPB is automatically applied when the [AUTO HOLD] function is active and the engine is turned off. However, if the EPB switch is pressed within one second after the engine is stopped, the EPB will not be applied.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH, do not use the EPB while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. It may damage the brake system and cause an accident.
