~1min read
Driving
The ESC OFF mode should only be used briefly to free the vehicle when it is stuck in snow or mud, in order to maintain wheel torque.
To deactivate the ESC system while driving, press the ESC OFF button when the vehicle is traveling on a level surface.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the drivetrain:
- Do not allow the wheels to spin too fast when the ESC, ABS, and parking brake indicator lights are on.
Repairs for damage caused by this are not covered by the vehicle warranty. Reduce engine power and do not spin the wheels too fast while these lights are on. - When performing a dynamometer test, make sure that the vehicle's ESC system is deactivated (the OFF indicator light is on).
Information
Turning off the ESC system does not affect the operation of the ABS or the standard braking system.
