Key Cylinder (Driver's Door)

The key cylinder is located on the driver's side door handle, hidden behind a plastic cover. Using the mechanical key, press and hold the key cylinder cover release button located on the underside of the door handle.

Use the mechanical key inserted into the slot of the release button to pry the cover outward. When the cover is removed, the mechanical key can be inserted into the key cylinder to lock or unlock the vehicle.

To reinstall the mechanical key into the smart key, insert the key into the smart key hole and press inward until it clicks into place.

Lost Smart Key

No more than two smart keys can be registered to one vehicle. If you lose your smart key, you should immediately take the vehicle and remaining key to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer, or have the vehicle towed if necessary.
