To open the tailgate:

1. If your vehicle has a Smart Key, make sure you have the Smart Key in your possession.

2. Press the tailgate open/close button on the vehicle, or press and hold the tailgate open button on the Smart Key for more than one second. The hazard warning lights will flash twice and the tailgate will unlock. Press the tailgate open button again to open the tailgate.
