Cabin Air Filter

[A]: Outside air, [B]: Recirculated air
[C]: Cabin air filter, [D]: Blower fan
[E]: Evaporator core, [F]: Heater core

The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. It filters dust and other contaminants that enter the vehicle through the heating and air conditioning system.

Replace the cabin air filter at an authorized HYUNDAI dealer according to the maintenance schedule.

If the vehicle is operated in severe conditions, such as dusty or rough roads, the climate control filter needs to be inspected and replaced more frequently.

If the airflow suddenly decreases, the system should be inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Air Conditioner Performance and Maintenance at Your HYUNDAI Dealer

When the refrigerant level is low, air conditioner performance is reduced. Overcharging also reduces the performance of the air conditioning system.

Therefore, if abnormal operation is noticed, have the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

NOTICE

It is important to use the correct type and quantity of oil and refrigerant. Otherwise, damage to the compressor and abnormal system operation may occur. To avoid damage, the air conditioning system in your vehicle must be serviced only by trained and certified technicians.

WARNING

Vehicles equipped with R-1234yf

Since the refrigerant is flammable and operates under high pressure, the air conditioning system should be serviced only by trained and certified technicians. It is important that the correct type and amount of oil and refrigerant are used.

All refrigerants must be recovered with proper equipment.

Releasing refrigerants directly into the atmosphere is harmful to people and the environment. Failure to observe these warnings may result in serious injury.
