Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel

~1min read

To adjust the steering wheel to a comfortable position, adjust the steering wheel so that it points toward your chest, not your face. Make sure you can see the instrument cluster warning lights and gauges. After adjusting, push the steering wheel both up and down to make sure it is locked in position.

Always adjust the steering wheel position before driving.

WARNING

NEVER adjust the steering wheel while driving. This may result in loss of vehicle control, which could cause an accident.

To adjust the steering wheel angle and height:

1. Pull down the lock release lever (1).

2. Adjust the steering wheel to the desired angle (2) and distance forward/rearward (3).

3. Pull up the lock release lever to lock the steering wheel in place.

PLEDGE

When adjusting the steering wheel angle and height, do not push or pull forcefully, as the mechanism may be damaged.

Information

Sometimes the steering column lock release lever may not engage fully. This can happen when the locking mechanism gears are not fully meshed. If this happens, pull down on the lock release lever, readjust the steering wheel again, and then pull the release lever back up to lock the steering wheel in place.
