Hill Start Assist Control helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backward when starting from a stop on a hill.

WARNING

Always be ready to depress the accelerator pedal when starting from a stop on a hill. Hill Start Assist Control is only active for approximately 2 seconds.

Information

  • Hill-start Assist Control does not operate when the shift lever is in P (Park) or N (Neutral).
  • Hill Start Assist Control operates even when ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is off. It does not operate if ESC is not functioning normally.
