General Interior Precautions

Avoid harsh solutions, such as perfume or cosmetic oil, from contacting interior parts, as they may cause damage or discoloration. If they contact internal parts, wipe them off immediately. Refer to the instructions on the proper method for cleaning the interior surfaces of the vehicle.

NOTICE

  • Never allow water or other liquids to contact electrical/electronic components inside the vehicle, as this may cause damage to them.
  • When cleaning leather items (steering wheel, seats, etc.), use neutral cleaners or weak alcohol-based solutions. If you use high-alcohol solutions or acid/alkaline cleaners, the leather may fade or its surface may peel.

Cleaning Upholstery and Interior Trim

Interior Surfaces (if equipped)

Remove dust and loose dirt from the interior surfaces with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.

If necessary, clean the interior surfaces with a mixture of warm water and a mild non-detergent cleaner (test all cleaners on a hidden area before use).

Fabric (if equipped)

Remove dust and loose dirt from the fabric with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Cleaning with a weak soapy solution is recommended for upholstery or carpets. Immediately remove fresh stains with a fabric stain remover. If you do not pay attention to fresh stains immediately, the fabric may become discolored and its color may be affected. In addition, its flame-resistant properties may be reduced if the material is not properly maintained.

NOTICE

Using anything other than the recommended cleaners and procedures may affect the appearance of the fabric and flame-resistance characteristics.

Leather (if equipped)

  • Characteristics of Seat Leather
    - Leather is made from the outer skin of animals, which undergoes a special process to make it usable. Because it is a natural product, each part differs in thickness or density. Wrinkles may appear as a natural result of stretching and shrinking depending on temperature and humidity.
    - The seat is made of stretch fabric to improve comfort.
    - The body-contacting, curved, and side support areas are high, providing driving comfort and stability.
    - Wrinkles may appear naturally from use. This is not a product defect.

NOTICE

  • Wrinkles or scratches that appear naturally from use are not covered by the warranty.
  • Belts with metal fittings, zippers, or keys inside the rear pocket may damage the seat fabric.
  • Be careful not to get the seat wet. This may change the characteristics of the natural leather.
  • Jeans or clothing that may bleed color may stain the seat upholstery.
  • Leather Seat Care
    - Vacuum the seats periodically to remove dust and sand from the seats. This prevents abrasion or damage to the leather and maintains its quality.
    - Wipe the natural leather seat upholstery frequently with a dry or soft cloth.
    - Using a proper leather protectant can prevent abrasion of the coating and help maintain the color. Be sure to read the instructions and consult a leather specialist about the coating or protective agent.
    - Light colored (beige, cream-beige) leather can be easily soiled and stains may be noticeable.
    - Avoid wiping with a wet cloth. This may cause the surface to crack.
  • Cleaning Leather Seats
    - Remove all spills immediately.
    - For cosmetic products (sunscreen, foundation, etc.)
Apply cleansing cream to a cloth and wipe the soiled area. Remove the cream with a damp wipe, then wipe dry with a dry cloth.
    - For beverages (coffee, soft drinks, etc.)
Apply a small amount of neutral detergent and wipe until no streaks remain.
    - For oil
Immediately remove oil with an absorbent cloth and wipe with a stain remover intended only for natural leather.
    - Chewing gum
Harden the chewing gum with ice and remove it gradually.
  • Handling Premium Nappa Leather (if equipped)
Avoid excessive sunlight and heat exposure. Excessive sunlight and heat naturally dry out and fade nappa leather, causing wrinkles and discoloration. If nappa leather gets wet with liquid, immediately wipe it with a lint-free cloth to minimize damage. Do not scratch the nappa leather surface with sharp objects. If your leather seats are brightly colored, they may be stained by dyed materials such as jeans.
