Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the intake manifold. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Intake and Exhaust System")
  3. Disconnect the knock sensor connector (A).
  4. Remove the mounting bolt (B) and remove the sensor from the cylinder block.

Installation
  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect it before installation.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal. Knock Sensor Mounting Bolt: 18.6 ~ 24 N·m
