Opening the Operating Doors from Inside the Vehicle

With the Inside Door Handle

Driver's Door and Passenger's Door

If the inside door handle is pulled when the door is locked, the door unlocks and opens.

Rear Door - Two-Step Opening

If the inside door handle is pulled once when the door is locked, the door unlocks. If the inside door handle is pulled again, the door opens.

With the Door Lock/Unlock Switch

When pressing the (Press part 1 of the switch to lock all vehicle doors.

• If any door is open, the doors will not lock even if the door lock switch 1 is pressed.
• If the electronic key is in the vehicle and any door is open, the doors will not lock even if the door lock switch (1) is pressed.

When pressing the (Press part 2 of the switch to unlock all vehicle doors. When all vehicle doors are locked, the indicator lamps 3 on the driver's and passenger's doors turn on. If any door is unlocked, the indicator turns off.

WARNING

• Always close and lock the doors while driving. If the doors are not locked, the risk of being thrown from the vehicle in a collision increases.
• Do not pull the inside door handle of the driver's or passenger's door while the vehicle is moving.

WARNING

Never leave elderly people, children, or animals unattended in your vehicle. A closed vehicle can become extremely hot, and elderly people, unattended children, or animals who cannot leave the vehicle may suffer serious injury or death.

WARNING

Always park the vehicle properly. Depress the brake pedal, shift the transmission into P (Park), apply the parking brake, move the ignition key to the LOCK/OFF position, close all windows, lock all doors, and always take the keys with you.

WARNING

Be careful when opening the doors and watch for vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, or pedestrians approaching the vehicle to prevent serious injury or death.

Information

To exit the vehicle if the power door lock does not work:

• Use the door unlock function repeatedly (both electronic and manual) while pulling the door handle.
• Open the other door locks and handles.
• Lower the driver's front window and use the mechanical key to unlock the door from the outside.
