NOTICE

Never use sharp tools or window cleaners containing abrasives to clean the window, to avoid damaging the rear window defroster.

The defroster heats the window to remove frost, fog, and thin ice from the inside and outside of the rear window while the engine is running.

  • To activate it, press the rear window defroster button located on the center control panel. The indicator on the rear window defroster button illuminates when the defroster is on.
  • To turn it off, press the rear window defroster button again.

Information

  • If heavy snow has accumulated on the rear window, clear it before operating the rear window defroster.
  • The rear window defroster turns off automatically after approximately 20 minutes or when the ignition key is in the LOCK/OFF position.

Outside Mirror Defogger (if equipped)

The outside mirror heaters operate when the rear window defroster is turned on.
