The fuel filler door is located on the driver's side of the vehicle. If the fuel cap is lost or damaged, make sure the replacement cap is correct for this vehicle.

Fuel Filler Door

Fuel Tank Cap
- Never smoke or light smoking materials near the vehicle while the fuel fill door is open or the tank is being filled.
- Never add fuel with the engine running. This is a violation of most state and federal fire safety regulations and may cause the "Check Engine" light to illuminate.
- A fire may occur if fuel is dispensed into a portable container located inside the vehicle. You may be burned. Always place fuel containers on the ground while refueling.
NOTE:
- When the fuel nozzle clicks or shuts off, the fuel tank is full.
- Tighten the fuel cap about one-quarter turn until you hear one click. This indicates that the cap is properly tightened.
- If the fuel filler cap is not tightened properly, the MIL will illuminate. Make sure the cap is tightened each time you refuel the vehicle.
