To apply the EPB (Electronic Parking Brake):

Pull up the EPB switch.

Make sure the indicator light illuminates.

✽ NOTICE

On a steep slope or when towing a trailer, if the vehicle is not stationary, do the following:

1. Apply the EPB.

2. Pull the EPB switch up for more than 3 seconds.

CAUTION

Do not apply the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This may damage the vehicle system and compromise driving safety.
