If a problem occurs with the brake pedal while driving, emergency braking can be applied by pulling up and holding the EPB switch. Braking is only possible while you hold the EPB switch.

WARNING

Do not apply the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency.

✽ NOTICE

During emergency braking with the EPB, the parking brake indicator illuminates to show that the system is operating.

CAUTION

If you constantly notice a noise or burning smell when the EPB is used for emergency braking, we recommend having the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.
