Power Outlet

~1min read

The power outlet is designed to supply power to mobile phones or other devices designed to operate with the vehicle's electrical system. Devices must draw less than 10 amps with the engine running.

  • Use the power outlet only when the engine is running and remove the plug after use. Using the auxiliary plug for a long period of time with the engine off may discharge the battery.
  • Use only 12 V electrical accessories that draw less than 10 A in electrical capacity.
  • Close the cover when the outlet is not in use.
  • Some electronic devices may cause electronic interference when connected to the vehicle power outlet. These devices may cause excessive audio noise and malfunctions in other electronic systems or devices used in your vehicle.
  • Insert the plug fully. If good contact is not made, the plug may overheat and the fuse may blow.
  • Insert only accessories equipped with an electronic reverse current protection device. Otherwise, current from the battery may flow into the vehicle's electrical/electronic system and cause a system malfunction.

WARNING! Electric Shock

Do not touch the plug or insert any foreign object (pen, etc.) into the socket, and do not touch it with wet hands. You may receive an electric shock.
