  1. Set the front wheels straight before assembling the steering wheel.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  3. Set the clock spring to the center before installing it on the steering wheel.
    1. Turn the clock spring clockwise until it stops.
    2. Turn counterclockwise 3 turns and be sure to install the alignment mark (▶◀). (For 18ch heating wire, turn counterclockwise 2 turns) (After the alignment mark (▶◀) is installed in the groove, the clock spring is automatically locked.)
  4. Connect the clock spring harness connector and the horn harness connector to the clock spring.
  5. Install the steering column shroud and steering wheel. (Refer to Steering System - Steering Column and Shaft group)
  6. Connect the connector of the driver airbag module (DAB), then install the driver airbag module (DAB) on the steering wheel.
  7. Secure the driver's airbag (DAB) with new mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 10.8 N·m

  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
  9. After installing the airbag, check that the system operates correctly:
