  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and wait at least thirty seconds before starting work.
  3. Place the passenger airbag on a protective cushion and tighten the airbag mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 3.9 ~ 5.9 N·m

  4. Install the emergency airbag. (Refer to Body - "Main Protector Assembly")
  5. Tighten the passenger airbag mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  6. Connect the passenger airbag harness connector to the main SRS harness connector.
  7. Install the glove box housing. (Refer to Body - "Glove Box Housing")
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
  9. After installing the passenger airbag module (PAB), check the system operation:
    A. Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for about six seconds and then go off.
