Removal
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector (A) and remove the reservoir cap.
Be sure to completely remove foreign matter from around the brake fluid reservoir and cap before opening the cap, to prevent contamination of the brake fluid and reduced braking performance.
- Using a syringe, remove the brake fluid from the reservoir.

- Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle, as it may damage the paint. If brake fluid gets on the paint, wash it off with water immediately.
- To prevent dust from entering the reservoir, close the reservoir cap again after removing the brake fluid.
- Remove the IBAU (Refer to AHB System - Integrated Brake Actuator Unit (IBAU))
- Disconnect the connector (A) and, after removing the mounting clip, disconnect the reservoir hose (B).
- Disconnect the brake tube from the power supply unit by loosening the bolt (B).
Before removing the PSU, relieve the high pressure in the PSU accumulator for safety by performing the "High Pressure Release Mode" using GDS connected to the SOUL EV.
Tightening Torque: 13.7 ~ 16.7 N·m
- After disconnecting the connector, loosen the PSU bracket bolts and remove the PSU.
Torque: 19.6 ~ 29 N·m
Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Check the brake pedal operation.
- After filling the reservoir with brake fluid, perform bleeding. (Refer to AHB System - Bleeding the AHB System)
- Perform calibration after removing the brake pedal assembly. (Refer to Brake Pedal - Calibration)
- Tighten the PSU bracket bolts and the brake tube to the specified torque.
- Perform calibration after removing or installing the PSU.
- Connect GDS. (CAN line or OBD connector)
- Turn the ignition on.
- Press the pressure sensor calibration button.
- Perform the pressure sensor calibration procedure (calibration is recorded and the DTC is erased).
- Turn the ignition off and back on after the calibration procedure.
- Confirm that calibration was successful.
