Components and Components Location

1. Tailgate

repair procedures

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Release the clips and screws securing the tailgate panel.

  2. Remove the tailgate trim panel (A) using a trim removal tool.

  3. Remove the washer nozzle and connector gasket (A).

  4. Disconnect the washer nozzle hose (A).

  5. Disconnect the upper stop lamp connector (A).

  6. Loosen the rear spoiler mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 5.9~6.4 N·m

  7. Remove the rear spoiler (A).

Disconnect the tailgate extension connector (A).

  1. Disconnect the tailgate extension wiring (A).

  2. Disconnect the connectors and tailgate harness (A).

  3. Remove the connector clips (A) using a screwdriver, then disconnect the tailgate lift (B).

  4. Loosen the mounting screws, then remove the tailgate assembly (A).

    Tightening torque: 21.6~26 N·m

  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
