Drain the fuel filter

In diesel engines, the fuel filter plays an important role, as it separates water from the fuel, which collects in the lower part of the filter.

If a large amount of water accumulates in the fuel filter, the warning light will illuminate when the ignition is turned on.

If this warning light illuminates, take your vehicle to a specialized workshop to drain the water and inspect the system. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer/service partner.

DANGER

If water in the fuel filter is not drained in time, key fuel system components may be damaged by water.
