WARNING

Hot wax additives used in car washes are known to make cleaning the windshield more difficult.

Contaminants on the windshield or wiper blades can reduce wiper performance. Common contaminants include insects, sticky tree sap, and wax residue from car washes. If wiper performance is insufficient, clean the windshield and wiper blades with a suitable mild cleaning agent, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.

WARNING

Do not clean wiper blades with gasoline or aggressive solvents such as thinner, etc., to avoid damaging them.

If the wiper blades no longer clean adequately, they may be worn or torn and must be replaced.

WARNING

Do not try to move the wipers manually. The wiper arms and other components could be damaged.

WARNING

Using non-specified wiper blades may cause malfunctions and wiper failure.

Wiper blade on the windshield

Type A

1. Lift the wiper arm and turn the wiper blade to access the plastic clip.

WARNING

Do not let the wiper arm snap back onto the windshield, to avoid cracking or breaking the glass.

2. Press the clip together and slide the wiper blade downward.

3. Lift the wiper blade off the wiper arm.

4. Install the wiper blade in the reverse order of removal.

Type B

1. Lift the wiper arm.

WARNING

Do not let the wiper arm snap back onto the windshield, to avoid cracking or breaking the glass.

2. Then lift the wiper blade clip upward. Pull out the wiper blade and remove it.

1. Lift the wiper arm (1) and pull out the wiper blade.

2. Install the new wiper blade by pressing the middle section into the slot on the wiper arm until it clicks into place.
