engine oil (gasoline)
Motorölstand prüfen

1. Make sure the vehicle is parked on level ground.
2. Start the engine and let it warm up to normal operating temperature.
3. Turn off the engine and wait approx. 5 minutes so that the oil can drain back into the oil pan.
4. Ziehen Sie den Messstab heraus, wischen Sie ihn ab, und führen Sie ihn wieder bis zum Anschlag ein.
WARNING
Radiator Hose
Be careful not to touch the radiator hose when checking the engine oil level and when topping up engine oil. It may be hot enough to cause burns.
5. Pull out the dipstick again and check the level. The oil must be between the F (Full) and L (Low) marks.
WARNING
- Do not overfill with engine oil. This may damage the engine.
- Do not spill engine oil when adding or changing engine oil. If engine oil is spilled in the engine compartment, wipe it off carefully.
- Use a clean cloth to wipe the oil dipstick. If dirt gets into the oil, it may cause engine damage.

If the oil level is near the L (Low) mark, add oil until the F (Full) mark is reached. Do not add too much oil. Use a funnel so that no oil is spilled onto engine parts.
Use only the specified engine oil. (Refer to "Recommended Lubricants and Fill Capacities" on page 9-10.)
Motoröl und Ölfilter wechseln
Have the engine oil and oil filter replaced at a specialized workshop. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer/service partner.
WARNING
Prolonged skin contact with used engine oil may cause skin irritation and skin cancer. Some used oil components have been shown to be carcinogenic in laboratory tests. Always protect your skin by thoroughly washing your hands with soap and warm water immediately after contact with used oil.
