Standby Mode

The Driver Attention Warning system is operational and displays the "Standby" screen in the following situations.

- The camera does not detect these lane markings.
- The driving speed remains below 60 km/h or above 200 km/h.

Fehlfunktion des Systems

If the warning message "Check Driver Attention Warning (DAW) System" appears, the system is not functioning properly. In this case, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized workshop. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer or service partner.

WARNING

• The Driver Attention Warning system is not a substitute for safe driving, but an auxiliary function. You are responsible for driving defensively, as dangerous or sudden situations may occur at any time. Always pay attention to road conditions.
• Es kann je nach Fahrmuster oder Gewohnheiten des Fahrers eine Pause vorschlagen, selbst wenn sich der Fahrer nicht müde fühlt.

WARNING

The Driver Attention Warning system uses the camera sensor on the windshield for operation. To keep the camera sensor in the best condition, observe the following:

• Bringen Sie NIEMALS Zubehör oder Aufkleber auf der Windschutzscheibe an und verzichten Sie auf eine Tönung der Windschutzscheibe.
• NEVER place reflective objects (e.g., white paper, mirrors) on the instrument panel. Any light reflection may cause a malfunction of the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system.
• Make sure that the camera sensor does not come into contact with water.
• Bauen Sie die Kamerabaugruppe NIEMALS aus und vermeiden Sie Schläge auf die Kameraeinheit.

WARNING

The Driver Attention Warning system may not operate properly in the following situations and gives only limited warnings:

• Lane recognition performance is limited. (For more information, refer to "Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)" on page 6-83.)
• The vehicle is driven aggressively or steered sharply to avoid obstacles (e.g., construction zones, other vehicles, objects on the road, potholes).

Bei hoher Lautstärke der Audioanlage des Fahrzeugs kann der Warnton des Fahreraufmerksamkeits-Warnsystems übertönt werden.
