To apply the EPB (Electric Parking Brake):

Pull up the EPB switch. Make sure the indicator light illuminates.

✽ NOTICE

On a steep slope or when towing a trailer, if the vehicle does not stay in place, do the following:

1. Apply the EPB.

2. Pull the EPB switch up for more than 3 seconds.

CAUTION

Do not use the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This could damage the vehicle system and compromise driving safety.
