Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the emergency pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Emergency Pad Lower Panel")
  3. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Cover Panel")
  4. Disconnect the electronic steering column lock connector (A).
  5. Remove the Electronic Steering Column Lock (A). (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Column and Shaft")

Installation

  1. Install the electronic steering column lock.

    Tightening torque: 7.0 - 13 N·m

  2. Install the steering column.
  3. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
